Heliopolis builds Italy’s highest wooden building in Rovereto

T

he two wooden prisms forming part of the new residential hub and the green hill concealing the commercial area are starting to take shape, giving concrete form to the imminent rebirth of the former Marangoni area.

This long-awaited and revolutionary redevelopment project, consisting of social housing and an immense public park, sets out to bridge the gap between the city and its most neglected suburbs, thereby breaking down physical and emotional barriers.

With new sustainable mobility routes and services between Via Benacense Seconda and Lizzanella, a definite and decided effort is being made to foster a sense of identity and restore attractiveness to an area that suffered unenlightened choices in years gone by.

The large site will be completed in record time, with the six- and nine-story buildings growing in leaps and bounds. And not in concrete, but in the most living and renewable material par excellence. Welcome to the highest wooden building in Italy.
