Former Necchi area of Pavia:
preliminary surveys are conducted prior to work commencement

n area of about 11 hectares, where sewing machines and compressors were once built, is now preparing to welcome new ways of living and working following investments by PV Re Srl, headed by Paolo Signoretti and Heinz Peter Hager.
This area once housed the historical Necchi factory, just outside the centre of Pavia and a few kilometres away from the state road connecting the city to Milan. The regeneration project involving this abandoned area includes an expert blend of living spaces (partly serving the nearby hospital), co-working offices, gardens and a cycle and pedestrian route.
Surveys have been conducted to map the buildings and their state of conservation. Then, following the reclamation and restoration of the entire area, an urban regeneration project will give this corner of Pavia a whole new look.
